Susan Larsen has a strong background in both textiles and painting. These unique paper sculptures blend her sensibilities of surface design and painting with the tactile qualities of handmade paper. The mystery of illuminated neon adds yet, another visual dimension to the sculptures.

Susan lives in Chico, a small city located in the upper Sacramento Valley of Northern California. This lush agriculture valley and the beautiful golden Sierra Nevada Foothills are reflected in the rich color and textures of her artwork.

As an active member of her art community, Susan not only exhibits her artwork locally, but is involved in educating the area about the visual arts. Susan offers workshops on papermaking and with her life partner Patrick Collentine hosts a radio show "SonicView" about the visual arts on a regional radio station.
